Plan to attend the Montreat Women’s Connection Conference August 10-12 in Montreat North Carolina.  There will be the chance for worship, workshops, fellowship, hiking, sleeping, and lots of fun! This year the keynote speaker is Kate Bowler.  As she learns to live with cancer as a chronic condition, Bowler speaks powerfully about the ways in which her brush with mortality transformed her. She also frankly addresses the uniquely American concept that tragedy is a test of character and looks at the different ways that people try to rationalize suffering and catastrophe, for better or worse. Each registration will receive a copy of her book Everything Happens for a Reason and Other Lies I’ve Loved.

This year we have to option for women to indulge in a couple of Sabbath days before the conference begins or come for the weekend of conference only: (the cost includes part of your registration fee and housing)  August 8-12 $400/person (Leaving Wednesday, returning Sunday) or

August 10-12 $200/person (Leaving Friday, returning Sunday)

Worship will begin each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary followed by Fellowship time in Duntreath Hall.

Sunday School will resume on September 8th
 9 am – 9:50 am. Worship will remain at 10:00 am.

Office Hours from Memorial Day through Labor Day are
Monday – Thursday 8:30-2:30 and Friday 8:30 – 12 noon

Join us for our 11:00 a.m. worship service this Palm Sunday, April 14th.

Our Chancel Choir will lead us in a Choral Cantata, with narration, reflecting the events in Christ’s life,

from prayer, betrayal, to crucifixion.

The Angel Tree will be in the fellowship hall on November 24th and December 1st.
Please pick up your angels from the tree and return your wrapped gifts no later than December 8th.
Be sure to write down your information to let us know which gifts you’re sponsoring.

 Tuckahoe has been a sponsor of the Ministry of Prison Fellowship  “Angel Tree” Project for many years.   We are again sponsoring 25 children and each child will receive two gifts: one toy and one clothing item.  This project helps incarcerated men and women provide Christmas  presents to their children who live in metropolitan Richmond.  These presents provide a tangible reminder to the children that their parent loves them even though they cannot be with them at Christmas.  We need many members of the congregation to purchase and gift wrap one gift each (approx. $20-$25).  The gifts have been selected by the parents, so you can be sure they will be appropriate and appreciated.  We also need people to assist with the delivery of the presents to the children the week before Christmas.
