E. Harold “Hal” Breitenberg, Jr. is a minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and an associate professor of religious studies at Randolph-Macon College. He grew up in Springfield, Virginia. Hal studied religion and music at The College of William and Mary and music composition at The Catholic University of America. After college he taught high school band in Gloucester, Virginia, and later worked for several years in the computer field for both the federal government and private industry. He received his M.Div. and Ph.D. from Union Presbyterian Seminary. Hal’s wife, Susan, is a member of Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church. They live in Glen Allen and their two adult daughters live in Richmond.
Colleen is a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) who currently serves as the Program Director at Massanetta Springs. She recently served as Associate Director at Camp Hanover prior to working at Massanetta beginning in 2021. Colleen received her MDiv from Union Presbyterian Seminary here in Richmond. She also has a BA in Geography from the University of Mary Washington, as well as an MS in Geography from Rutgers University. Before returning to Virginia in 2014, she mostly worked in environmental conservation and education. Between her time at Camp Hanover and Massanetta, she spent some time as a chaplain at the UVA Hospital.
