Sarah and her family came to Tuckahoe in 1985, where she joined the choir and served as accompanist. She grew up in Wilmington, Delaware where she studied piano at the Wilmington Conservatory of Music and later studied piano and organ at the College of William and Mary and the University of Richmond. Sarah received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Education degree from VCU. She is currently employed by the Hopewell City Schools. In 2002 she was called to be Minister of Music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Hanover, Va, where she served as organist, choir director and director of children’s choirs for 12 years. She and her family returned to Tuckahoe in 2014.
Sarah currently serves as the accompanist for the Richmond Women’s Chorus, and previously served as accompanist for the Henrico Pops Chorus and their smaller Ensemble group, and also for One Voice Chorus and their smaller Ensemble group. Sarah is happy to be among her Tuckahoe family again.
