Rev. Richard L. Haney

Interim Pastor, Head of Staff

Richard became Tuckahoe’s Interim Pastor in February of 2011. He graduated with a B.A. in Religion from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1975, earned his M.Div. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 1979 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies through the University of Wales. Richard spent the first eleven years of his ministry as the Associate Pastor at Third Presbyterian Church in Richmond before founding Swift Creek Presbyterian Church in Midlothian, VA, where he served for thirteen years. Recently he has served as the Interim Pastor of St. Giles and Grace Covenant Presbyterian Churches in Richmond, VA and Fairfield Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsville, VA.

Richard is married to Pam Oliver (Haney) and they have three grown daughters Leah (Chris), Charlotte (John), and Emily (Mark), and two grandchildren (Austin and Bennett). In his spare time, Richard enjoys fly-fishing, birding, reading, and keeps an occasional blog called In Other Words.

Rev. Steven Good

Associate Pastor

Steven joined the staff of Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church in June of 2007.  Prior to his call in Richmond he served as the Assistant Minister of Groomsport Presbyterian Church in Co. Down, Northern Ireland and as the Director of Youth Ministry in congregations in New Jersey and California.  A graduate of California State Univeristy, Bakersfield and Princeton Theological Seminary, Steven is excited to explore with the youth and families of Tuckahoe ways that God’s story is attested to in scripture and how that intersects with and shapes our personal stories.  He is passionate about discipleship and encouraging youth to participate in God’s mission in the world.  When not reading in his study or visiting members of the congregation, Steven enjoys basketball, ultimate, photography, hiking, and spending time with his wife, Jill, their son, Graham, and daughter, MacKenzie.

Rebecca Goode Loggins

Director of Children’s Ministry

Becky was called to Tuckahoe in February of 2003 with eight years experience in Youth and Children’s ministries, five years in elementary education, and five years in preschool education.  She holds both Bachelor and Master of Education degrees from Georgia Southern University. Becky believes that it is an awesome honor to serve the children of Tuckahoe and their families, and to walk the Christian journey with them and with the dedicated team of youth and adult volunteers.  She is passionate about the Godly Play approach to religious education and believes that when God calls, God equips.  Her “verse to live by” is Colossians 3:23, “Go all out – whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

Mark O. Cain

Director of Music Ministry

Mark came to Tuckahoe in October, 1990.  He holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

One of his joys is to have seen his Bell Choir “TUCKADINGS” start from Day # 1 and develop into a vibrant, exciting group of musicians playing premier music.  The singing of the Chancel Choir is a much anticipated moment in each Sunday’s service among Tuckahoeans.  Mark often charges the choir and congregation to remember the words of Psalm 100:2 “Serve the Lord with gladness: Come before his presence with SINGING!”
